Today's image features what is arguably one of the most iconic Harper's Bazaar covers of all time. This issue, from March of 1943, was covered by Lauren Bacall, who had recently been discovered by the legendary Diana Vreeland. Vreeland – who acted as the editor-in-chief of Bazaar from 1937 to 1962, and as the editor-in-chief of Vogue from 1962 to 1971 – transformed the world of fashion. This cover is a wonderful example of her brilliant ability to combine fashion and style with the world around her.
