Exhibit: 150 Years of Gustav Klimt

Until August 27th, the Neue Gallerie in New York City is celebrating (in conjunction with Austria and several other Austrian museums) 150 years of one of our favorite artists, Gustav Klimt. Perhaps the most famous Austrian artist from the 19th and 20th centuries, Klimt’s work ranges from landscapes to some very recognizable portraits, such as Pale Face (below). The entire museum, including Cafe Sabarsky – which will be honoring Klimt with it’s special Klimt cake – and the museum gift shop will be celebrating the artist. If you are in or visiting New York this summer, this exhibit (and beautiful museum and cafe) is not to be missed.
